TESIM support update – May 2017

New events, new guidance, new tools. TESIM works hard to diversify its portfolio of support services to programme bodies and project promoters. Here is a glimpse of what we have been up to recently.

    Bringing programmes together

April started with the organisation of the 2nd network meeting of the ENI CBC communication managers. 16 participants from 13 programmes shared views and experiences on how to raise awareness of cross-border cooperation and better communicate the results it achieves. Innovative tools, such as the “fiftyone” publication presented in the “Programme highlight” section, were analysed in detail. Knowing how creative ENI CBC communication managers are, we will surely witness during this programming period a stimulating diversification in dissemination channels and products.

Looking ahead, everything is now ready for the networking event on ENPI CBC closure that will take place in Brussels on 10 May. The meeting will not only provide a platform for discussion on how to ensure a timely and efficient closure, but will also allow for exchange with the experts in charge of the ex-post evaluation of ENPI CBC programmes. Certainly a packed day! Are you not able to attend? No worries: consult the “Guide on closure of ENPI CBC programmes”, available for download here.

And dates for the 2nd LabGroup on LIPs are now confirmed. We will meet with ENI CBC programmes in Vilnius on 20 and 21 June. We will draw together lessons on the approval of project summaries and discuss how to ensure the best quality of the full application forms to be submitted before the end the year. Registration is already open here!

Last but not least, the location for this year’s annual conference has been decided. But we are not going to unveil everything already now, are we?

    Increasing capacities

In last month’s bulletin we started canvassing our plans for online capacity building. Hosted on an ad hoc e-learning platform, video tutorials and supporting materials will provide project promoters with useful tips on how to put together a successful cross-border cooperation proposal, from project design to partner search and budgeting. With the support of Madrid-based company Cámara Boreal, we have tested the skills of TESIM experts as screenwriters and actors. No slim-male golden award in the horizon, but they have passed the exam with flying colours, and the video tutorials will be a dynamic and innovative tool, you will see. Our motto? “Go for ENI CBC!”. Do not worry, though. We will not hide behind the cameras from now on. We will be back on the road with capacity building events as soon as the new calls for proposals are launched.

    Spreading the word

You know it: European Cooperation (EC) Day is an initiative we are very keen on. For its 6th edition, we have decided to go beyond the mere interface role and will instead engage ourselves actively through the organisation of our own activity in Brussels, bringing the issue of borders closer to the heart of Europe. We have made a clear bet on the future, and that is why we have selected youth as target group. Such a choice piggybacks on current 2017 initiatives taking place in the EU environment, like #EU4Youth, #EUAroundU, #EU60 and #FutureOfEurope, just to name a few. We also hope that as many ENI CBC programmes as possible will join us in targeting youth with their respective EC Day activities! From now to September we will update you regularly on the progress made with this activity. But before that we will resume shooting our videos showcasing successful ENPI CBC projects. Next stop: Tunisia.
