    Fourth and fifth calls for proposals launched by the Karelia Programme!

    The Karelia Programme launched their fourth and fifth calls for proposals yesterday concerning the themes of Growing cross border business cooperation and Clean and comfortable region to live.

    Call for proposals 4 – Growing cross border business cooperation

    All the projects selected under this call for proposals should work towards the overall objective:

    Increased cross border economic interaction and trade

    Each project must contribute to one of the following elements of the priority:

    • Identification of bottlenecks, barriers and obstacles of cross-border economic interaction and trade
    • Solving/ removing of the barriers hindering the cross-border economic cooperation
    • Activities increasing the capacity of the enterprises to start cross-border economic cooperation
    • Activities increasing the areas attractiveness as a target for investment

    The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 2 500 000. The deadline for concept notes is 11 May 2017. 

    Call for proposals 5 –  Clean and comfortable region to live

    All the projects selected under this call for proposals should work towards the overall objective:

    Improved living and working environment

    Each project must contribute to one of the following elements of the priority:

    • Increased environmental awareness
    • Improvement of peoples’ physical living environment
    • Support of the biodiversity of border areas
    • Use of nature in the promotion of health and wellbeing

    The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is EUR 3 500 000. The deadline for concept notes is 11 May 2017.
